laptop ac adapter question by ty: Laptop AC adapter (power cord) hot to touch?
The power cord of my laptop, specifically, the ac adapter (the block that the power cord connects to) is always HOT to touch almost immediately after I turn on my laptop. I’ve asked other people who have laptops if they have this problem. They said no or only after they’ve used their laptop for several hours. I’m concerned. Should I be worried? What could be causing this problem? My laptop sometimes overheats, too. Its an HP Pavilion dv7-1240us entertainment notebook that’s a little over a year old.
(I’m going to by a fan to help w/ the laptop overheating)

Kindly take ur laptop and Powercord to the service center.Explain them the situation and get ur power cord replaced/repaired.

This could be some serious issue and may cause bigger problems in future.
